Solidarity with the Cuban Five from Trinidad and Tobago

The unfair incarceration imposed in the US to five Cuban antiterrorists was widely spread through Puerto España, capital of Trinidad and Tobago.

The organization Cuba Solidarity gave away materials denouncing the absurd confinement of Gerardo Hernandez, Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando Gonzalez.

This is the second time in December this organization takes similar action in favor of the liberation of the Cuban Five, as said by Granma newspaper.

Las September they issued, along with “Friends of Cuba”, a statement in which they requested the immediate liberation of the Cuban Five to the U.S., as well as the lifting of the blockade and the extradition of terrorist Luis Posada Carriles to Venezuela.



Ealy in December, several activities were held in Trinidad and Tobago in support of Cuba, on occasion of a new anniversary of the beginning of ties between the ountry of the Antilles with the Caribbean Community.

The program included the broadcast of a documentary on the cooperation of Cuban doctors and a cultural gala.
