The Cuban Five have been behind bars in U.S. jails since Sept. 12, 1998. Sixteen years of unjust imprisonment of Five valiant young men that, when Africa called for international solidarity they were home to fight the scourge of the racist apartheid regime of South Africa.  Along with hundreds of thousands of other Cuban internationalists, they were ready to die fighting for the liberation of African nations as thousands of their comrades fell in combat for the defense of Angolan newly won independence, for the defeat of the South African Apartheid regime and for the victory of the Namibian people!

The Cuban Five: Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero are still in U.S. dungeons and need our support in order to be with their loved ones like René González and Fernando González, who are back in Cuba not only because they completed serving their unjust sentences but because of an international solidarity movement which made sure that they would be allowed to go home once their sentences were finished otherwise the U.S. would have tried to prevent their return, just as they are doing in the case of Puerto Rican political prisoner Norberto González, who has done his time but is not being allowed to leave … hmmmm

We need the Cuban Five, since the struggle of the Palestinian people for justice and against the war on Gaza needs tireless leaders like Gerardo, Ramón and Antonio ready to pick up the fallen torches for peace and justice in the Middle East!  And certainly the city of Ferguson's Black population, the immigrant families in the U.S.; and all of us who are fighting for peace and against the wars of invasion and occupation by the U.S. government and its allies, need the presence of all the Cuban Five on the forefront of such battles, as they were in Africa.

Obama:  16 Years of Unjust Imprisonment of the Five Must End NOW!

We won't stop until the world knows that you are not a man who fought for Africa, nor is fighting for Africa and nor will ever fight for Africa as long as you keep the Cuban Five in jails;  while planning other acts of sabotage, invasions/occupation against the sovereign nations like Cuba where African blood runs through its veins as Fidel Castro has systematically reminded the world of!
