Toronto celebrates the 52 anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

CANADA, January 31, 2011. - Organized by the Network of Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity in Toronto, in coordination with the Consulate General of Cuba in that city, on January 26 a celebration of the 52nd anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution was held, with broad participation of solidarity groups, at the premises of the Steelworkers Union.

The Consuls General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and El Salvador and the Latin American Solidarity Network and other partner organizations, expressed their admiration for the existence and achievements of the Cuban Revolution, despite the policy of the United States. Also, messages sent by Cuba solidarity groups were read. During the activity, the "Moments with Fidel" audiovisual material was presented, the Consul-General of Cuba in Toronto, Jorge Soberon intervened and participants enjoyed the traditional Cuban music provided by the local trio "Sol de Cuba." The celebration highlighted the importance of the Cuban Revolution, the ideals of Bolívar, Martí, Fidel and the example of the Bolivarian Alliance for Latin America and the Caribbean (ALBA).
