The Cuban Five Congratulate Women on Their Day / Los Cinco Héroes felicitan a mujeres del mundo

The five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters unfairly imprisoned in the United States since 1998, congratulated the women of Cuba and worldwide on Women’s International Day, the Prensa Latina news agency reported.

Antonio Guerrero, on behalf of his comrades Fernando González, Ramón Labañino, Gerardo Hernández and René González, thanked women worldwide for their permanent shows of support and encouragement.

Guerrero expressed in his heartfelt letter that women will always be present in their hearts and that their continuous support helps them go through their ordeal with optimism and strength.

He also acknowledged women’s active role in the struggle for their freedom for always coming up with new ideas and actions.

The anti-terrorist fighter thanked women’s efforts to correspond with them from all parts of the World and their endless affection and fraternity.

Guerrero said that women make them see that a better world is possible and quoted Cuba’s National Hero Jose Marti words that women’s support makes any work invincible.

Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez, Ramón Labañino, Gerardo Hernandez and René Gonzalez are serving harsh sentences for informing on the violent actions planned against Cuba by terrorist groups based in the United States.

Los Cinco Héroes felicitan a mujeres del mundo

Los Cinco antiterroristas cubanos presos injustamente en cárceles de Estados Unidos desde 1998 felicitaron a las féminas de Cuba y del mundo, con motivo del Día Internacional de la Mujer, de acuerdo con un despacho de Prensa Latina.

Antonio Guerrero, a nombre de sus compañeros Fernando González, Ramón Labañino, Gerardo Hernández y René González, agradeció las muestras de aliento, amor y ayuda que ellas les brindan de manera permanente.

Ante todo las llevamos en nuestros corazones cada día, y con ustedes resistimos, somos fuertes y siempre optimistas, expresó Guerrero en una hermosa carta.

Reconozco —-agregó— que son ustedes las de mayor participación en la batalla por nuestra liberación, y cada día piensan en nuevas acciones e iniciativas.

Ustedes son las que más nos escriben por todas las vías desde cualquier rincón del planeta, y expresan un infinito amor y una indestructible hermandad, puntualizó el luchador antiterrorista.

Guerrero aseguró que las mujeres nos hacen ver con más claridad que un mundo mejor sí es posible, y citó al Héroe Nacional de Cuba, José Martí, quien expresó que "cuando la mujer se estremece y ayuda, cuando la mujer culta y virtuosa unge la obra con la miel de su cariño, la obra es invencible".

Fernando González, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Gerardo Hernández y René González cumplen severas condenas por informar sobre planes de acciones violentas contra Cuba fraguados por grupos terroristas basados en territorio norteamericano.
