Havana, Cuba, Mar 6.- "Five days of consecutive actions for The Five" is the new call made by the International Committee for the Freedom of these Cuban antiterrorists unfairly condemned in the United States.
The objective of this call is to boost an active campaign in favor of these patriots, from April 17th through the 21st, in Washington D.C., the US capital. The invitation applies to all solidarity organizations and friends in the northern nation and in the world, to support actions of denunciation and of solidarity with Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Rene Gonzalez. A public meeting with the participation of personalities of the host country and other nations; the handing over of information to members of the US Senate and Congress; and documentary screenings at universities and other centers are some of the activities scheduled. Also included is a meeting with the press, and another one with religious groups of various denominations, as well as informative round tables and cultural activities. Parallel to these activities –announces the Committee- thousands of posters with the phrase “Obama Give me Five” will be placed in several key points of Washington, and announcements will be published on some of that city’s media. As it is known, the release of these men arbitrarily punished in the United States will only be achieved if the struggle of the international community is added to legal mechanisms. (ACN).
