Holguin, Cuba, Oct 13.- Specialists from the University of Computer Sciences of the eastern Cuban province of Holguin will re-launch a website for the Seventh International Colloquium on the fight for the freedom of the five Cuban antiterrorists imprisoned in the U.S., scheduled for November 16-20, in that city.
Marketing adviser, engineer Aida Sauco, told ACN that specialists from that institution have been in charge of the website since 2005 when the first Colloquium on the Cuban Five took place. Sauco said the specialists are working on technical details and updating aspects of the biased legal process against Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez –– who was released on probation last October 7, but must remain another three years in U.S. soil. The main purpose of the website (www.radioangulo.cu/VIIcoloquio) is to provide updated information on the case of these antiterrorists ––internationally known as the Cuban Five–– for people all over the world that believe in their cause; and to inform on the highlights of the event. The website also publishes letters by the international movement of solidarity and other materials of interest such as resumes of prior events, including photo and video galleries. It is sponsored by the University of Computer Sciences, of Holguin, in cooperation with the delegation of the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP) in the province and other entities that support their cause. The Rector of the University, Julio Cesar Rodriguez Cano, said the website promotes the development of an interactive forum to boost online communication and debates on the case of the Cuban Five, which is marked by injustice and double standards.(ACN) cadenagramonte.cu
