Holguin Welcomes Activists that Support The Five’s Cause

Holguin is receiving with wide opened arms the activists that come from several countries to take part in the Int’l Colloquium in Support of The Five, and from this eastern Cuban province demand the US government freedom of the five Cuban antiterrorists held there for more than 13 years.

The delegates from more than 40 countries that will take part in the Colloquium will also deplore the shelter given to the self-confessed terrorist Luis Posada Carriles.

They will also attend the inauguration in Boca de Sama of a sculptural compound that denounces terrorism.

But also in public audiences in four municipalities of the province of Holguin, in a massive rally to take place at the Monument to Che Guevera in solidarity with those youths that have been unfairly serving long and harsh sentences.

The Expo-Holguin trade and fair ground is given the finals touches for the event sponsored by the provincial branch of the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP), and the support of the local political and government authorities, said Iraida Sanchez Andres, the directress of the entity.

While they keep on working in the event’s main venue, the people to share with the delegates to the Colloquium (November 16-20) get things ready in the communities to welcome the pro-Cuban Five activists, some of which are already here, among them Austrians, Canadians, Americans…


The Colloquium is a battle front for a fair cause in support of The Five, as they the world solidarity movement call tem, and it is that voices across the world claim justice for the Cuban Five. What will the US government respond?"
