Letter for Obama of deputy in the Belgian Parliament

Dear President Obama,

I am Zoé Genot, federal deputy of the Green Party ECOLO in the Belgian Parliament since 1999. Together with thousands of Belgians and thousands of people worldwide, we ask you, President Obama: as a lawyer, as a father, as a son, as a husband, as a decent justice loving person, and as a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, to end this colossal injustice, to free the Cuban Five, imprisoned in the United States. These five Cuban men never used any violence against anyone and were only gathering information to protect their country against new terrorist attacks.

Please make an end to their now 14-year confinement that is the result of an internationally firmly criticized trial. Two of the men have even been denied their rights to see their loved ones. Please let them return to their families and make an end to this inhumane punishment.
