Dear friends,
One of the Cuban Five, our comrade and hero Fernando González LLort, who could only return home after serving 15 years of unfair sentence in US prisons, has been appointed as ICAP Vice-president. Fernando was graduated with summa cum laude in 1987 on International Political Relations at the Higher Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was an internationalist combatant in the liberation and anti-apartheid war in Angola, 1987-1989. He behaves with great modesty and calmness. He stands out from his very profound analysis and a wide-ranging knowledge of foreign affairs issues, from his strength, discipline and also from a loyalty he has proved over and over again. This decision makes us all stronger; while the main objective is still to achieve after 16 years of imprisonment, we need to continue challenging our creativity to snatch Tony, Ramon and Gerardo out from those prisons! In solidarity, Kenia Serrano Puig
