Join us in Washington, D.C. at "Five Days for the Five" to demand: "Free the Cuban Five!" As the Cuban Five approach 15 years of unjust imprisonment, supporters from across the world will converge on Washington, D.C. in late May for a week-long "Five Days for the Five."
There are several public events during the week, all of which are listed on our calendar. This Saturday is a rally in front of the White House. Please join us if you can! Groups in New York City are organizing "Freedom Ride for the Cuban Five" buses to bring people to the event - for more information call 347-201-3728 (9am-5pm) or the Freedom Ride Hotline 718-676-0106. On Saturday night, activist Angela Davis, Father Miguel d'Escoto, Cuban poet Nancy Morejón, and others will be featured in an ecumenical/cultural event. Other events scheduled include a press conference tomorrow at which recently freed Cuban Five hero René González will speak live (from Havana) to the American public for the first time, a cultural evening, hip-hop concert, lobbying, panel discussions, new books on the Five, and a videoconference to connect with families of the Five.
