Ramon Labañino Sent a Message to Camagueyan Religious Leaders

_ Camaguey, Cuba, Nov 15.- A message by Ramon Labañino, in the name of Cuban Five, was transmitted last Monday to Camagueyan religious leaders who were meeting in the city’s seat of the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP). They also have supported the actions for the release of these antiterrorist fighters.

The missive, sent through the journalist student Jorge Jerez Belisario, stresses the affection and the gratitude of Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez, Rene Gonzalez and Gerardo Hernandez, for the work carried out by the religious community in favour of their return to the Homeland.

In the appointment, the lawyer Walfrido Garcia Perez, president of the Scientific Chapter of the International Law, gave an overview of the numerous violations that have characterized the spurious process against The Five.

For their part, proxies of manifold Christian denominations expressed their decision to spread, in every space and forum of their own congregations, the truth about The Five, and to continue the struggle against the unjust conviction imposed on these Cuban heroes.

With the aim of developing actions in favour of peace and reunification of these five families separated for 13 years, the meeting was a spiritual support and an expression of gratitude for The Five, who - from the United States - were protecting our Island and the North American people against the real terrorists in this nation.
