Havana, Cuba, Jul 22.- Popular Argentinean rock musician Ciro Pertusi, leader of the group Jauria, demanded of US president Barack Obama to put an end to the injustice committed against the five Cuban heroes, incarcerated in that country for almost 13 years now.
Pertusi, who is also the founder of the band Attaque 77 met in the Argentinean Patagonia with the members of the Aconcagua Brigade, which carries out actions in favor of the release of Gerardo Hernandez, Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez and Antonio Guerrero, arrested in Miami en 1998 and imprisoned for fighting terrorism. The Argentinean activists explained to Pertusi the case of The Five, condemned to sentences ranging from 15 years in prison to two life imprisonments plus 15 years for monitoring the activities of Florida-based, violent anti-Cuban organizations, the www.cubaminrex.cu Web site reported. In order to show his solidarity with The Five, the artist sent from the Patagonia a postcard to the White House, with his demand for the release of these patriots. Since 2010, several expeditions of Argentinean youngsters have climbed the Aconcagua (almost 7,000 meters above sea level), to demand, from its top, the release of these Cuban antiterrorists unfairly incarcerated in the United States.
