Members of the 11th European Brigade of Solidarity with Cuba met with relatives of the Cuban anti-terrorists imprisoned in U.S. jails since 1998. Mirta Rodríguez, Antonio Guerrero’s mother, thanked the brigadistas for their support in this case. Thomas Lenke, a member of the Committee for the Realization of the German Revolution, told the press that his party is gathering funds for the Cuban Five and is taking actions to inform the world about their cause. For his part, Vando Martinelli, a founder of the solidarity with Cuba movement in Italy, said that his group supports the Revolution in all international events. He also highlighted the strength and spirit of the mothers and wives of the Cuban Five. Marco Pappacci, coordinator of the Italian Committee of Justice for the Cuban Five, explained that a demonstration in front of the U.S. embassy will take place in Rome and activists will try to include public figures in the campaign their freedom. He added that a huge poster will be place in the Italian capital with the motto: “Free the Cuban Five” in a number of different languages. / RHC
